About Viper Server Rescue
The new Viper Server Rescue combines backup for Bare Metal, Exchange, SQL servers, SharePoint servers and granular recovery - all to the cloud. Viper packages these fast backup and recovery features into one system for SMBs and enterprises.
How it works 1) You would purchase one of the plans available depending on how many servers and how much space you require. Viper can also customize unique packages for you.
2) You would need a local storage device. This can be an external USB drive, a network attached storage, or a SAN.
3) The Viper Server Rescue software will backup locally.
4) The software will simultaneously back up the image to the Viper Cloud. This is all done in the background.
5) A local storage device is necessary for practicality. If you have 200 gigs of data on the server, this could take daya to copy to the cloud. So for example if you have an Exchange server your backing up, you can rest assure you have a fresh local copy constantly being backed up, as well as a copy to the cloud which can take a few days to finish the initial load. If there was a disaster, you can restore right from the cloud. Restoring is much faster than backing up, so you will be fine.
